Winter Jewel Ribbed Glass Ball Ornament

Winter Jewel Ribbed Glass Ball Ornament

A glass ball that catches light like a cut stone.

Fine ribbing runs the full surface of each ornament, so instead of one flat highlight the ball throws back a row of small ones as it turns, the way a faceted gem does. It comes in three sizes: the 3.25-inch small and 4-inch medium in sets of six, and the 4.75-inch large in a set of four, which is enough of each to build a tree around. The jewel-toned finish reads formal, so it suits a tree with a tight color scheme better than one covered in mixed novelty pieces.

Hang the large ones deep in the tree near the trunk and the smalls toward the tips of the branches so the sizes read as depth rather than clutter.

Styling Tips
Mix in the Sapphire Drip Glass Ball Ornament for a second texture in the same tonal family, with the Metallic Glass Ball Ornament in Shiny Gold to carry light between them.
